DOING BUSINESS WITH MRGDC

From requests for bids or proposals to periodic grants, learn about procurement and funding opportunities with us. Please note that MRGDC can accept unsolicited proposals only in situations that would not be subject to competitive bid. Prospective vendors should contact staff directly only when instructed as part of a published request for proposals, qualifications, applications or bids.

Fiscal Year (FY) 2026 funding opportunities are now available on the eGrants website at: https://egrants.gov.texas.gov/. Please note that the eGrants “landing page” has a new look. Once you log in, however, the system will look the same, with the exception of the links to guides, funding opportunities, and resources up at the top of the page. The Public Safety Office will be releasing several funding opportunities & we encourage everyone to apply for as many as possible to assist the needs of your programs, only the below-listed grants will be forwarded to MRGDC for prioritization, scoring, and recommendations:

 

  • Criminal Justice Grant Program, FY2026

  • Violence Against Women Justice & Training Program, FY2026

  • General Victim Assistance Grant Program, FY2026

  • Juvenile Justice & Truancy Prevention Grant Program, FY2026

  • State Homeland Security Program - LETPA Projects

  • State Homeland Security Program - Regular Projects



ALL APPLICATIONS SHOULD BE CERTIFIED IN eGRANTS & SUBMITTED BY THE DEADLINE, WHICH HAS YET TO BE RELEASED BY eGRANTS.  THEN AFTER THE PSO REVIEWS PROJECTS THEY WILL FORWARD ELIGIBLE APPLICATIONS TO MRGDC FOR PRIORITIZATION BY THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE ADVISORY COMMITTEE & THE HOMELAND SECURITY ADVISORY COMMITTEE.

Attendance at ONE of the mandatory grant application workshops is necessary for this funding cycle. Workshops will be held at the Uvalde SSgt. Willie de Leon Civic Center located at 300 E. Main St., Uvalde, TX. on the following dates & times:

 

  • Monday, December 16, 2024 - 10:00 a.m. & 2:00 p.m

  • Tuesday, January 7, 2024 - 10:00 a.m. & 2:00 p.m.

  • Thursday, January 9, 2024 - 10:00 a.m. & 2:00 p.m.


The participant sign-in sheet will be collected 20 minutes after the workshop has begun. Any attendees arriving after will be advised to join the next available workshop. The funding opportunities to be scored at our local level will be provided for your review once they are available.
